Business Support Unit
The Business Support Unit (BSU) provides support to areas in Academic Services and Financial and Commercial Services in the delivery of efficient and effective business processes.
Support is provided through management of major projects, provision of guidance and assistance, establishment of new organisational units, monitoring and coordinating improvement projects, special investigations and preparation of responses to matters raised in internal and external reviews of University administrative activities.
Past major activities have included:
- Establishment of the Fees Centre.
- Implementation of changes resulting from the introduction of the Higher Education Support Act (HESA).
- Co-ordination of the Non-Academic Services Review (NASR).
- Project management of the Student Services Improvement Project.
- Establishment of the Availabilities and Timetabling Unit.
- Project management of the implementation of the Finance One Ci version.
- Implementation of online class registration.
