Professor John Cordery - Provost

Professor John Cordery joined Curtin in July 2015 from the University of Western Australia, where he was Professor of Management within the UWA Business School and had recently served as Chair of the Academic Board.
Professor Cordery holds a BSc from the University of Otago, an MSc from the University of Canterbury, and a PhD from the University of Sheffield. His research focuses primarily on ways of maximising the effectiveness of groups and teams in organisations. This research has been supported by multiple grants from the Australian Research Council and from industry. Professor Cordery’s research has been published in leading international journals in both management and applied psychology.
Professor Cordery has direct reporting responsibility for the Office of Strategy & Planning and the following Curtin teaching Faculties:
